Changing CallerID In SpitFire
Introduction
Changing CID in SpitFire Predictive Or Quick Connect
Changing CID in SpitFire X AutoDialer
Introduction
The SpitFire Predictive and SpitFire Quick Connect systems running SIP or PRI lines (stand-alone, not integrated with PBX) can typically define outgoing CallerID (CID) via a parameter in the Campaign configuration (INI) file. This article describes how to find, open and edit that parameter in the Campaign configuration file.
Most SIP and PRI carriers allow the User to define outgoing CID from the equipment side. Some may not or may require a specific request to allow that service. Please check with your specific Carrier to verify if outgoing CallerID can be defined from the User side.
For SpitFire Dialers that are behind a PBX or phone system of some sort, the PBX will be responsible for defining the CID, not SpitFire.
CID is also not configurable via SpitFire on systems using Flat T1 (CAS) or analog lines. For those types of lines, the Carrier or Phone Company defines the CID.
Important: In order to change this parameter, you must first Stop and Close Any Open Campaigns.
Changing CID in SpitFire Predictive Or Quick Connect
The Campaign configuration files are located in the C:\SPD\ folder. There will be a separate file for each Campaign Instance. So if you have 4 different Campaign Instances, there will be 4 different INI files. This means you could have a different CID for each Campaign Instance you are using.
1. Double-click My Computer, Local Disk C: and then the SPD Folder.

2. In this folder you will see an INI file for each Campaign. In this example, 1 through 3. Double-click the campaign INI file that you want to edit and it will open in Notepad.

3. Click Edit-->Find and type callerid into the Find box. Click Find Next.

4. To the right of the equals sign, enter the 10 digit phone number that you want displayed on CallerID.

Note that the format is 10 digits with no dashes or parentheses!
5. Finally, click File-->Save to save the file.

Now you can start our Campaign dialing again. Keep in mind, this only affects the Campaign that relates to the configuration (INI) file that was edited. If you are running multiple Campaigns, you would also need to edit the 2.ini, 3.ini, etc. Each one can have it's own unique phone number.
Changing the CID Number in SpitFire X Autodialer
If you have the SpitFire X Autodialer software, this CID parameter can actually be edited in the Campaign user interface directly.
1. Stop any dialing that is happening first and wait for all lines to come to a stop.
2. At the top of the Campaign window, click on Options-->Preferences and go to the General tab.

3. In the CallerID: you can enter the 10 digit number you want to be displayed. Again, make sure to use only 10 digits, no dashes or parentheses.
4. Click OK and close and open the Campaign window to make sure the changes are saved.
If you are running multiple campaigns, this can be set to a different number for each Campaign, just like in the Predictive software.
